Londer
Vineyard is located west of Philo, California, on the south-west
side of Highway 128. A few miles off the road, the vineyards are
corralled by forests of conifer, and benefit from foggy mornings,
warm days, and cool nights. Most of the vineyard is on south facing
hills with a combination of well-drained sandy loam covering an
underlying clay loam. All of these conditions combine to create a
perfect environment for the slow development of flavors and
structure that makes for an excellent pinot noir. For our 2010, we
sourced Dijon 115 and Swan clones and made four barrels - a total of 100
cases.
The color is
a lovely ruby red, light to medium in shade. As this wine opens up,
aromas show high tones of red fruit with floral notes and hints of
tea leaves. The palate is bright with red cherry and a brooding
mid-palate of darker berries ending in a smooth finish. With a nice
level of acidity and great structure, the Londer Vineyard Pinot
Noir will age well and display even more character over
time.

boasts a core of intense dark berry and raspberry fruit framed by
firm, chewy tannins."

2010(Anderson Valley, CA), a deeply flavored and complex wine
that tastes and smells of blackberries and
violets."
