The new 2021 Rosé of Pinot Noir is made with Pinot Noir sourced from Filigreen Farm, the same biodynamic and organic Anderson Valley vineyard as our Pinot Noir Blanc. The skins and the juice were left in contact to macerate for two hours to deliver its coral hue and refreshing fruit flavors. The wine was fermented and aged in stainless steel for six months.
Winemaker's and Vintners' tasting notes: Our Rosé of Pinot Noir shows a beautiful color of salmon and coral as you hold it up to the light. Swirl it in your glass and you'll enjoy a pretty, floral scent with concentrated aromas of pink grapefruit, cranberry, and alpine cherry, layered with sweet tarragon. Hints of salty sea breeze and tangerine notes hover in the background, waiting for you to take notice.
Lightweight on the palate, the fresh acidity balances flavors of tart strawberry-rhubarb preserves and salty-sweet shortbread. Bright, precise, and fruit-forward with a lengthy finish, we will be sipping this all summer long (while supplies last!) with lighter fare like fresh spring rolls and mint, hamachi crudo or a summer greens salad with lime-marinated grilled shrimp.
